It all starts with your first appointment. Your designer will meet with you in your home and will listen to your wishes and ideas for your project. They’ll listen to what you like and don’t like about your current home. They’ll talk about different possibilities and tour your space. We may discuss general budget ranges and other important concerns. Our designers will share examples and photos of Harvey Remodeling projects that may be similar to yours and walk you through the Harvey Design + Build process.
You may meet with your designer several times in the early stage of the design process, while our team develops and refines your design. We will provide cost projections and you will establish your budget. Together, we will work to identify your style and how you would like that to be reflected in your home. Our team will welcome you to our Design Center where you can see and touch a wide variety of materials and fixtures. Your designer will work closely with you to guide you through the exciting process of narrowing your choices and ultimately selecting the details, colors, and finishes that will define your space. You will be able to see your finished project brought to life in 3-D to make it easier to see what it will look like and be sure you will love it! Once the design has been finalized, and the selections made, we will prepare a full set of construction documents. These drawings will include specifications, floor plans, elevations, schedules, and finish selections. Upon your approval, the plans and the budget are finalized and building permits are obtained.
Shortly before beginning construction, your designer will hold a Turnover meeting at your home. You will meet your build team and review your project details to ensure clear communication before we build. This is when you will see the benefit of one point of contact throughout your project. You won’t have to worry about details being lost or miscommunicated. Behind the scenes, we seamlessly manage it all.
We provide you with a detailed schedule showing what will take place and when. We will discuss anything you need us to be mindful of while we are in your home, such as the safety of children or instructions for your pets.
You are on your way to your newly remodeled home! Our skilled craftsman will take your plans and get to work. We handle every aspect of your project: ordering materials, managing subcontractors, coordinating permits and inspections, and more. We know your time is valuable and you won’t have to manage the details. Your comfort and quality of life during the remodel are extremely important to us. We clean up the work area each day before we leave. Our employees are trained to respect you, your home, and your neighborhood. During construction, we will meet with you in your home weekly to address any concerns and answer any questions and keep the lines of communication open. You will review the schedule so you always know what to expect. Our team will manage your project to keep it on time and in budget. And, you don’t stop hearing from us when the job is done.
