MetroWest Kitchen Remodeling
In the Front Entry, our clients’ goals were to open up the space and improve natural light, allow the clients to see who is at the front door from inside and allow a view of the backyard when entering the home.
Our clients wanted to open up the space, improve traffic flow for entertaining and daily life, update the overall appearance and finishes and maximize storage. We can see how that peninsula really closes in the space.
It can be counter intuitive to remove a window to get more light but look how well it worked here. The large picture window floods the space with natural light and allows a much better view of the peaceful outside from the kitchen and entry.
The peninsula was removed and replaced with a beautiful island that improves traffic flow and provides seating in the kitchen. Additionally, the space was brightened with large pendant lights over the island, LED undercabinet lights and the addition of carefully placed recessed lights throughout.
Cabinetry was selected in a bright white painted finish to dramatically brighten the space. A contrasting island in a Brandy stain, pewter hardware, warm red oak flooring, granite countertops, cobalt blue pendant lights and the dramatic black picture window balance and warm the space while keeping it modern and fresh!
Last but not least…we added a wet bar in an adjoining dining room.
