Remodel Your Colonial Style Kitchen with the Guidance of Harvey Remodeling

Colonial Style Kitchen Boston MAFor many homeowners in Boston, Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas, having a colonial-style home is seen as a point of pride. These authentic and stylish homes are charming and much sought after by local homeowners. However, when they were originally built there wasn’t much emphasis placed on priority areas of the home. In fact, many of these colonial-style homes are lacking in kitchen space that you so desperately need. Thankfully, Harvey Remodeling is able to provide full-scale kitchen renovations that will allow you to continue living in your colonial style home but also achieve the kitchen you’ve always dreamed of.

In order to achieve this, our team will work closely with you to gain a unique understanding of the needs you have for your project. This begins with an initial consultation where we’ll discuss all of the preferences you have for your remodel. At this point, we’ll place all of these design elements into a layout for your approval before any construction work begins.

Some of the common adjustments we make for Colonial style homes include:

  • Raising the ceiling for extra space
  • Removing walls to create a larger cooking space
  • Adding more natural lighting to brighten up your kitchen
  • Updating fixtures and cabinetry
  • And more

To find out more about the colonial style kitchen remodel options we can provide for homeowners in Boston, MA, and the surrounding areas, contact Harvey Remodeling today. When you do, we will happily answer any questions you may have about our services.

Running Home for Dinner

The Problem

This home had an excellent location that made the young family want to move in, but the kitchen made them want to run away. They have small children and wanted a casual place for eating and homework, in addition to a space for family dinners. The family also needed to greatly increase the storage space to accommodate everything from refrigerated items to snacks and pantry essentials. Lastly, they wanted to open up the kitchen to the other rooms in the house and make the kitchen a warm and inviting place to spend time.

The Solution

We brightened up the room with a neutral color scheme and a detailed lighting plan. We used maple cabinetry, painted in a soft cream color with an oatmeal glazing on the perimeter cabinets and cherry cabinets with a truffle stain and a walnut glaze on the island. To increase their storage space we removed an existing exterior door and a wall to create a walk-in pantry with additional cabinetry, an extra refrigerator and another sink. New hardwood floors tied the kitchen to the newly remodeled family room. Our clients are thrilled with the results and they look forward to creating many memories in their new kitchen.
