This project is a two-story addition to the back of a Cape-style home. The addition features a three-season screened porch on the first level and a Master bath above, which incorporated a glamorous chandelier that was given as a Mother’s Day gift and inspired the style and feel of the bath.
Our clients have always shared a bath with their two children. Now that the children are grown, they decided to treat themselves to luxurious and elegant Master bath that feels like they are stepping into a spa. The homeowners wish list for the Master Bath included double vanities, a separate soaking tub, walk-in shower and separate toilet room. In order to accomplish the spa-like feeling we chose fixtures and finishes that added quiet allure to the space and incorporated everything on their wish list including a rain shower and luxurious soaking tub.
Additionally, we used layers of light for task, general and ambient lightning. The sconces used at the vanity are perfect for everyday needs, while the recessed light in the shower allows for a nice bright morning shower. The beautiful chandelier given as a Mother’s Day gift was the inspiration for the look and feel of the master bath and its general overall lighting adds elegance to the space. The ambiance of the wall sconces is enjoyed while relaxing in the tub.
Stay tuned to our next post on this award-winning addition when we will feature the exterior of the home and the screen porch.
