In February, we featured a spa-like Master Bath (in case you missed it you can see it here). That Master Bath was part of a larger home renovation. This month we’ll show you a few of the additional spaces including the Master Bedroom, Basement and Sauna. As part of the remodeling of the Master Bedroom Suite, we completed several smaller projects in the bedroom to dramatically improve the function and beauty of the space. Our clients’ home is situated on a beautiful piece of property with gorgeous views. They wanted to connect their bedroom more closely to their yard and bring the outside in. In order to accomplish that, we removed the existing bedroom windows (see before right) and installed large walk-out French Doors that provide direct access to the outside for warmer weather, and bring excellent light and a sense of openness to the room year-round. Custom built-in cabinetry and bookcases were created to house their TV and balance the room, while framing the fireplace. Additionally, the wood burning fireplace was converted to a gas insert for convenience and ease of maintenance.
An existing vanity in the dressing area (below) was also updated into an elegant space for getting ready. To continue the theme of a better connection to the outside, the basement was remodeled to include a kitchen/bar and entertainment space that opens out to the patio and beautiful pool area. Additionally, a bathroom was renovated and expanded to include a private spa sauna. We enjoyed being part of this renovation and wish our clients many happy years enjoying their newly remodeled home!
